Re-Ignition Tutorial
When we first released Ignition, we purposefully didn't give away too much 'tuition' on how to use the system. Ignition is a new concept in magic so there's so many possibilities for different types of routines and powerful magic moments you can create. Ignition requires a certain level of sleight of hand, and was kind of our challenge to you guys as to see what you could come up with!
One person that showed us an angle we didn't think about and surprised us with a very fooling routine, is the super creative award winning magician Luiz Castro. Luiz has come up with a gem of a routine that uses the kit in a different way that was intended. The result is a portable, versatile routine that can be used as a quick pocket trick, or break up the routine as a way to segue into your coin manipulations. You can then finish off using the second part of the routine as a closer.
It uses only very basic sleight of hand techniques along with cleverly thought out sequencing to create a real moment of wonder to jump start any routine. Luiz has been kind enough to film a tutorial and share it with the Mechanic Industries Workshop Community so you can all learn this awesome routine. So if you own Ignition, then this is a must watch. Luiz won Toronto magician of the year 2014, and is mostly a underground magician who specialises in coin magic. He worked at Morrissey Magic for 7 years, leading him to a huge variety of information, through books, DVDs, and other tricks. Luiz's coin magic adventure started with a DVD by Curtis Kam and that's where discovered a magician by the name of Kainoa Harbottle, and developed his technical coin work around that.
